Salary Amendment
An employee may incorporate any change in the salary during his/her work period with a Free Zone company. However, the sponsored employee must complete a minimum of six (6) months in the initial position.
Requirements
The following documents are required for submission at GSO’s Business Counter:
- “Application for Amendment Request” duly filled and signed by authorized signatory and the employee.
- One (1) passport photocopy of applicant
- One (1) passport photocopy of applicant including visa page
Important!
- GSO may request salary slips, bank proofs or any other documents.
- Prior to approving the salary increase, GSO assesses and ensures that the salary matches the job and the size of the company.
- In case of a sponsored employee earning a monthly salary of less than AED 3,000/, a nominal increase up to AED 500/- will be accepted by GSO. If the increase is more than the specified amount, then such increase is subject to GSO’s review.
- GSO will approve salary increase of or up to AED 10,000/- for a sponsored employee earning a basic salary exceeding AED 5,000/- per month. If the notified increase is more than the specified amount then such increase is subject to GSO’s review.
- Frequent salary changes are unacceptable. At least a period of six (6) months must lapse between changes in salary.
